Hi all,

I am trying to fit a Clarion double din head unit into my Leon.

I have all of the necessary install bits and bobs - Seat facia, cables, can-bus adapter etc. but I am missing a surround for the stereo.

I have taken a picture to explain what I mean.

Has anyone fitted a stereo in their Leon and can tell me what else I need to buy?

Doing my nut in now this...wish I had never started lol.

ChrisMansell fitted a JVC in his recently and his looks fine as he has a black surround around the head unit.

Anyone have any ideas what i need to get and from where?

Cheers :)

I have fitted the same stereo.

I had to buy one of these:
Autoleads VW Golf MkIV Fascia Adaptor (08/98 onwards) - FP-17-00

I got mine in Halfords.
Its listed on their website as Cat code: 957324-FP1700-0 £14.99
incarexpress have them as well

The stereo fits inside the Golf Adaptor, then it will fit inside the fascia.
Its a snug fit but it does work.

Cheers for that isamion :D

I shall get on and order one now!

Did you not bother using the stereo cage with that adapter as it looks as if it's an integral cage and facia?

Cheers!

The VW adaptor is a 1 piece plastic cage.
It has a lip at the front that fits neatly into the SEAT Fascia.
Its a snug fit but it will go in.
