could any of you kind people let me know the adapter for your pioneer unit to the stering wheel controls for an ibiza fr?

its not a 10 min job as fitting a normal single DIN replacement - but not the most difficult of things to attempt yourself.

If you plan it out and take a bit of time doing things right the first time - you can have it done in an hour or two and save yourself the xost of fitting and get all the satisfaction of seeing how good it looks!!

i'll have to consider it then if its not too hard :) shame about the cost of the pio dual units plus theres always the risk of getting them stolen as theres virtually no security on them

I disagree (unless they take the whole car:censored:) ) when installing mine there are loads of lugs that bend over on the cage so the cage is going nowhere. The actual unit then has two bolts in each corner that screw it in to the cage, there is no chance of pulling it out by force with out destroying the unit though there really isn't much you could get hold of.

Churchill insurance are paying for my unit including the leads and i didn't have to declare it to them either.:D

hi this lead didnt seem to work connected it to the back of the unit and the wireing loom but it wont work my steering wheel controlles and also it meant that the headunit would not save any changes???? any ideas guys! Also the unit and the surround are the right fit widthway but vertically there is a gap of around 2cm do you get a double din surround or use the one that comes with the headunit, and yes i have used the cage, this just not tall enough.

If anyone can help? ps its thesame headunit as fr-tdi!

Thanks guys!

ill give you a tenner if you can nick mine in under an hour.

i had to remove it to wire in some cables and bugger me it took absolutley ages.

As Fr_TDi and i have said before this is not needed and would still require trimming of the dash board to make this fit if anything even more so.

Regarding your elctrical problems, unfortuanitly i cant help you on that one as i dont have the car anymore. Mine all clipped in and then it was just the battle tto fit all the wireing back in behind.

yeah i just found that adapter and wondered if it would be able to solve the gap at the top and the bottom of the slot, i have cut the lugs so the unit slides in, but the unit and the cage are not tall enough to fill in the gap, i was wondering if you cut the lugs down the adapter shown in the link might just slide into the dash? no? lol

ps its the surround around the unit in the adapter kit that i most want! as im happy with how its mounted just need to solve the gap! haha i hate modifing :)
