I'm starting to think that my Leon flexes a fair bit, each morning when I drive it up out of my underground parking the side panels creak very loudly and they rattle more and more now during normal driving, I also now have a noisy seat, every time I use the clutch I get a creak noise from the side of the seat, annoying.

I had similar sounds with my Leon, I thoughts as well that it sounded like the car might be flexing.

In the end I traced it to a problem with the front windows. If I wound them down by even a few mm the sound stopped.

Took it to my SEAT dealer and they spent a day looking at the problems.

In the end they removed both door panels and adjusted the regulators on the electric windows.

Worked a treat, still have a intremittent rattle from the air vents that they couldn't trace, but the car is 1000 times better than before.

Exactly the same problem here.
Might have to take it in then, though I'm not sure if I can be bothered before it's first service which is approaching faster than I thought.

my windows creak when I go over really unevens surfaces ie; a big ramp like yours.

I can recreate the noise by pushing the tops of the windows whhere the seals are when im outside the car.

The garage said that my windows were hitting the seals which was causing the problem.

Mine was all the time as I live on a new housing estate where they haven't laid the final road surface yet, so the car bounces about all the time.

It was so bad that I couldn't live with it, but thankfully sorted now. :)
