flip key info thread

Yeah, good isn't it :D - knew the score as my previous Fabia vRS had the same key and setup.

I keep playing with that as I haven't got my flip fully operational yet, due to still trying to get the transponder out of its very glued position in the spare key!!

Also having a lot of trouble getting the VW badge of the back. Doesn't want to budge at all. Any tips?

For getting the transponder out, or the badge, or both? :)

Bit worried about smashing the transponder to be honest. Can't see the glass being that thick on them.

graft knife to get the badge off took me a while as i did nother one yesterday for maxcars1 and used the craft knife to get the transponder out the old remote key. as he had two button keys and not a plastic key only key. took me a while but did a bit as a time and it came out
 
Right then.....

Im changing keys.....

Ive got....

3 keys........2 that have transponders that have been used on other cars (VW's and Audi's) and 1 that's from my car...

I have my 4 digit SKC code...

am i presuming correctly i can reprogram the transponder chips in the keys with this method here:

and that will get me up and running?

Or do you have to use VIRGIN transponder chips? IE once matched to a car you can't use them again?

Is it really THAT easy to match the keys to the car??

Ordered my badge 23rd of december ("will take a week") phoned them up yesterday and they said "I will be completely honest with you, I don't think we have ordered it, I can get you one for tomorrow"

Picked it up today, black and crome, looks cool. :)

£39.15 in total for my key, I am happy with that.
 
damn my local seat are still not getting the seat badges !!... anyone order one local to them and ill pay ya extra... i would even go as far as give you a tenner (for badge, postage and rest for you) to get it delivered to me ..... its doing my head in with no badge as the key looks unfinished...
 
really nice one.... do i need to quote a part number ?, also do they just take a debit card number for payment ?
