Just A quick one really. My cupra has a bulb in the passenger side rear fog lamp, but its not working, are they supposed too? As it has a bulb I thought it should.
Any ideas?

no i think its only supposed to be one rear fog light my 16v is the same, i tryed a new bulb in both and one didnt work so i assume that how its suppposed to be.
im sure GTi's are meant to have 2. 1.4s lower spec cars dont have 2. ive looked at the wiring before now to see. its easy enough to wire one in theres only one wire you need to take from the drivers foglight to the passenger light unit.
yep thats what i did, easy as, just solder the wire across from the fog light on the drivers side to the same place on the passenger side.

Thank, well it had a bulb so i was kinda wondering coz Ive got my mot due soon so didnt want it to fail. Cheers guys
As standard, it would have only had a single rear fog lamp. It's a bit of a moot point as to whether the passenger side lamp should work for the MOT if a bulb is fitted. Simplest solution is to take the bulb out. As others have mentioned, a feed for the passenger side lamp can be taken from the drivers side lamp easily enough. I'm guessing a previous owner put a bulb in "just to see", found it didn't light up and just left it in there.
