Footwell lights

Has anyone fitted footwell lights to their leon's?
if so which ones did you use?
Im looking for superbright l.e.d versions

Why do you want footwell lights??? Theres nowt to see down there and you should really be looking at the road mate.

the whole idea of them is for when you open the door as your getting in the car not look at your feet when your driving!

So they are wired to the interia light and come on when you open the door then??

well thats why i want footwell lights for to light the footwell a bit better.

It is a bit scary down there sometimes. I often have nightmares about the footwell monster!

you could try the white neon strip lights that are meant for pcs (12v). they may be easy to slide into the trim in the footwell? just a thought

In all fairness I had footwell lights in my T4 and I do (well did) miss not having them in the 'ol lcr. But obviously I can more than live without them now

in all fairness chriz1, i think a few ppl on here have them, i THINK unclefester has, im not 100% tho, have a search and take caveo with a pinch of salt..hes only playing up, search forge split R..he has commented on virtually ALL of those

My mates mini cooper has these, Think your best bet is to get white neon strip lights, and fix them up under the dash for the front and under the seats for the rear, and connect them to the interior lights. A good few year back i had a mk3 astra show car, i did that to mine to light up and emphasise the chequer plate floor and door panels i had.

Heh it's MolehillMike who fitted them - I installed them physically but never quite got around to wiring them in It's on the 'todo' list for a sunny day when i've nowt better to do.

I was going to put them on mine but A. never got round to it and B. couldn't be bothered im sure someone has fitted them before too and even got a video of it but they wired them into the dimmer circuit so they were on all the time.
