116-119 for boggo diesel round here,
put £50 of diesel in it to get it full, and according to the trip computer i'm looking at 270-280 miles before the fuel levels back to where it was.

Out of interest is the fuel gauge linked to the ECU and calculates your driving style or something???

Because when I boot it the gauge drops... but then a few mins later I'll be cruising on the motorway and it will go back up

gords yes its throttle related , and the miles til empty and needle all rely on how much the throttles down if its flat then it predicts it empty soon ,

132.4miles :D

i was just wondering if this was good or bad on a 1.9tdi leon 110 version... lets hear your results aswell guys:)

That doesn't really mean anything, you may have a heavy foot and was racing everywhere or was driving Miss daisy. And from one line on your fuel gauge to another is not a scientific messurement, you may have been on a hill and would throw the gauge out.

Going by the trip computer i got 54mpg from my beast they other day!

It just works on your average mpg, not really anything to do with messuring the throttle, just simple maths.

well i dont have a trip computer mate so its the best way i can think to do it

OK, dont know if im the only sad person thats done this lol but on saturday night i put 10 pounds worth of bp ultimate in my car...at around 117p per litre....once i put it in i reset my fuel guage meter thing....so i ran my car from the very first line on the fuel guage, put diesel in...and ive ran it until today when the guage has returned to its original starting position, give or take a few ml's.....and the result= 132.4miles :D

you need to do brim to brim to get accurate mpg figures, try that for a few tanks and then post up your mpg

I notice it when I'm in traffic jams on motorways more, when in 1st / 2nd gear the fuel gauge needle will drop to a line below. But then when just cruising again it will raise back up!

Although it could be down to the fuel moving around when in stop / start traffic!

I don't have a trip computer type thing that tells you the mpg though

i dont have a built in mpg reader, but i worked out that on average, im getting around 49.8mpg
thats motorway, built up traffic, and B-road blast.
car= 2003 Leon "110" tdi, 114K miles, aggresive remap, uprated charge pipes, filter, and straight through exhaust :)

im getting on of these soon, scangauge2

Only getting around 468miles total/36 mpg out of 110 alhambra cost £78 to put 60 litres in(low fuel light comes on with 60 litres gone 10 litres remaining) of v-power put some millers in the tank see if it improves things, (thats with-out air con on as well its knackered at the minute) was expecting 40+!

119.9 p to fill up my Ibiza 1.9 today and i can get about 435 to 450 depending on how i drive. Mines mainly motorway been trying to compare it to what i used to get out of my Focus, couldn't work it out as diesel gone up!!!!

Hi, ive also got a 1.9 tdi 110, i recently put 35 in at 116.9p and returned just over 375 miles which im quite please with although i dont know if its just me but does it seem to drop a lot quickly when at about 3/4 full, hoping i not got a leak no obvious signs never put more than 40 in yet.

fuel is upto 118 - 120 now round skeggy

once down to just above half moves quite steady i know some cars do drop quicker when at the top or the bottom from past experience.

I'm getting approx 550miles from a full tank of diesel in a leon cupra tdi with some spirited driving and some just cruising......bit better that the scooby turbo i had last.......180-220miles at best

that sucks mark:( if you want we could start some bootlegging activity, i'll buy the v-max up her for 119p, send it down to you in bowling balls and make a profit

Paying £1.19 a litre here in Essex, put £15 in my FR 150 TDI and got 138 miles before reserve light came on then got another 12 miles before i managed to get to a fuel station. Diesel round here is ridiculous, it was like £1.09 3 weeks ago.

THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE A PROTEST OR SOMETHING??
