Hi, had a for sale thread of mine deleted earlier, it was for a mk3 stealth shelf.

In the automated message it said the reason was 'see rules'.

Ive read the rules and cant see anything I did wrong, so what was the reason?

Where's my Thread???

Your advert is in a Queue waiting for approval

If your advert doesn't have:

A price (or)
Contact information (or)
Is in breach of the rules in anyway (or)
Is deemed 'not suitable'

it won't be approved & will be deleted.

And because we all have full time jobs - the approval process may take a while (will aim for sub 24hrs) - but we won't / can't / don't have time to tell you if we delete it.

Cheers

Mark

Says it all really.

How about showing me where in the rules it says I must put in contact info?

Read this, - CLICKY

The first bit is important information.

After that is the rules. and rule no4 says.

4) You must include alternative contact information, ideally an email address and/or phone number. DO NOT RELY ON THE PRIVATE MESSAGE SYSTEM. New users and casual viewers of the forum can not reply using private messages. If you want to sell something make sure they can contact you. Any such adverts submitted without contact information will not be approved and will be deleted.

Can't get any clearer than that.

No I read this bit:

New Rules & Guidelines for Advertisements
Notes:

1) Only the Advertiser can reply to their post

2) The advert will be removed from the website after 45 days. This includes all attachments & information.

3) SEATCupra.net, nor any member of the Team can take any responsibility for the adverts placed.

4) Buyer Beware. Always ascertain a level of confidence with the advertiser before parting with your money. The last thing that we want is for someone to get ripped off.

Rules:

1) Everything has a price, or at worst a “offers around”

No Price, no Ad. It will be removed.

2) No Commercial posts, (except for SEAT Dealer Stocks) – Please don't use SEATCupra.net as a springboard for your latest business opportunity.

If you want to offer the members your product, please email one of the Administrators – a list of whom can be found here

3) No selling of illegal items or copyrighted items. This includes software.

Guidelines:

Description – Accurately describe the item you wish to sell in the title.

Bad Example: **LOOK HERE**

Good Example: 2001Y Ibiza Cupra 36K Modified.

Then include all the other information inside the post regarding all other aspects.

Bad Examples will either be removed or edited, whichever is easier.

Pictures – A good set of pictures will help no end to draw interest to the goods you're selling. You can attach 5 x 100Kb images to a thread – why not make use of this feature.
