foreign object damaged turbo

Hi guys just a quick one would you fit a turbo that had obviously suffered from f.o.d. My mate just got one second hand for his vivaro and the compressor blades are chewed up. The bloke who sold it him said to fit it and ot will be fine. What do you guys think cos I said no.
