Hi,

My VZ2 is due to be delivered next Friday and I was wondering how easy it Is to check the infotainment software and firmware versions, I want to ensure I have the latest versions. I have heard there are a few issues in the earlier s/w releases. Also, does anyone know what the latest versions are?

Thanks

So what is the latest software version that we know of?

I saw that @steviekek had 1790 software in his car. Does anyone have anything newer?

My car built on week 04, VZ2, has new version of hardware/software. Android Auto works wireless on it. It has a bit different settings than on demo car I drove in December.

Hopefully you shouldn’t have any issues with the Infotainment faults then

How you finding your car on its first impression?

New version of Infotainment, requires more clicking through options, than previous one. To switch off assitance annoyances, you have to click Car and then Smart Assitants. Only then, there's set of tiles with different functions and you have to scroll to the right. Previously, it was on the main screen, after clicking Car icon.

I don't see quick way to switching off all gadgets.

Older version.

This might be me being thick but doesn't "Device Part Number" identify the actual physical device so if the car has an "old" B part then it always will, so no software upgrade is going to change that?

Posted on another thread but here can be of interest. Someone sent me a curve ball in the form of another update and behaviour of infotainment has changed 180 degrees, not is a spoiled bratty child who deserves a severe spanking (and the devs another... bunch of muppets without QC).

This and the inability of logging in on their backend systems gave me a tough fit today.

When I got the car (29th March 2021) - VIN number 20xxx

Device part number: 5FA035862E
Hardware: H56
Software: 1790
Display unit hardware: H42
Display unit software: 6074
Navigation database: 20.3
Media Codec: 3.1.4

Today I got an update, I switched over to WiFi and it took about 15-20 minutes with a long hang 2/3rds of the way. When it ended it wasn't clear that it was done, I was in a menu at the time and I just couldn't get back to the update screen.

After update (31st of March 2021) - seems I got only Nav update
Device part number: 5FA035862E
Hardware: H56
Software: 1790
Display unit hardware: H42
Display unit software: 6074
Navigation database: 21.2
Media Codec: 3.1.4

Update available

TPI 2062441 (Q-Service Packet /Field Measure 91BO)

The large update package for all index "d" infotainment controllers has been available for several days now.

Thus, the version 17xx is raised to 1803.

My car came with 1803 but still got prompted for a software update (don't know honestly what it changed - i had the car for like an hour). The infotainment seems to work pretty well, but for some reason, wireless Android Auto doesn't...

Anyone had this update yet? My local dealer said my car wasn't in the range of impacted VINs even though it has 17** software and d hardware.

He did add the range of VINs does change sometimes.

Not overly concerned as touch wood mine seems to work ok

Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay are country dependant. They are blocked in some countries. Check with the dealer.
Unless Cupra blocked it i don't see why it wouldn't work in my country. App has the wireless option ticked and even offers the wireless setup steps, but the Cupra just says no compatible device. I saw on another (german?) forum that wireless worked for some people starting with v17XX too
