Yes, it could be blocked by Cupra, so it might be quickest to just call and check with the dealer, than try to make it work for hours. At least you will know if it's your phone problem, or your car.

Anyone had this update yet? My local dealer said my car wasn't in the range of impacted VINs even though it has 17** software and d hardware.

He did add the range of VINs does change sometimes.

Not overly concerned as touch wood mine seems to work ok

My car is currently at the dealer and I requested they apply the v1803 update.

Like you experienced they have advised that my vehicle already has the latest firmware available which is v1790.

No because they are adamant my vehicle has the most up to date firmware available. My vehicle is still at my dealer so that could change before I collect it!

Okay. The biggest issue for me is the vehicle behaves as though it is a left hand drive vehicle when using ACC.

When trying to overtake when ACC is active the vehicle thinks it is undertaking and it slams on the brakes for no apparent reason! This is obviously a safety issue.

Mine doesn't brake, just slows down and does it only occasionally. Sometimes, during one long drive it never happens and then on a way back it happens couple of times.

Considering the fact, it's computer, it should behave the same every time and on every car with the same software. But it doesn't.

Sounds like my experience. And the climate temperature sync works as if it’s a LHD vehicle...

Same same for me re: ACC and A/C. Perhaps this future upgrade will resolve. Its not available yet so not surprising dealers aren't aware.

I have the 1790 software and had a random small update yesterday, it said to fix system errors. Can't see anything different at the moment.

I had a similar message flash up as I was stopped at a traffic light; I activated it, not realsing it would abort as soon as I drove off when the lights went green. I haven't had a chance to run it again since.

I just added the model in my signature.

Here is what I noticed since I received it (1 week ago).
First of all, I have never known the previous version, I cannot make a comparison.

List of problems :

1) ACC: For the assisted driving mode the only dangerous thing that I noticed immediately (more than 1200km of highway) is that it is not centered between the two lines. She is very left, see too much! I will send example videos in a few days.

2) Alexa: So there, I'm terribly disappointed. I was sold that Alexa was available and that's right and wrong. Here is the truth for future buyers. On your screen of your Formentor, you will have a "Store" or "Boutique" icon, you can download "Alexa". Once installed you will quickly notice that you cannot use it:

a) "While driving": I find it annoying that a driving assistant is not available while driving! Is it the same for other people? or just in "France"?

b) without a "Wifi" network. We touch stupidity! Either you have to share your own mobile phone each time in Wifi, and the Formentor connects to it, or you have nothing. Has anyone found another solution? If we take a Cupra Telecom subscription does it work?


3) The phone assistant "Cupra connect" is really very slow. The feedback does not always work, for example the state of the electric recharge. You have to wait several minutes (10 / 15min) after each refreshment.


To conclude, this is so far only the negatives points that I find in this car. I am totally in love and it works perfectly, all the options are sublime, and I strongly recommend the purchase.

I have not encountered this problem with my version.

If you're in France, you won't have that issue, because your car is always on default side of the road. It's only RHD cars that "forget" they are on left side and switch to European settings.

1) I was in contact with Cupra ES and after Cupra FR, after long discussions with them, the answer is: it's normal !
I confirmed in writing that I think there is a problem to see in time ...

For 2) a) fixed by Cupra the last week by New Update. It's done !! Thx guys.
