Interesting that the 2020 model had a low res camera, at least I know mine is definitely newer because the camera quality is fantastic (still got plenty of software problems nonetheless...)

Alec's car must have had more faults than average car with system errors. I also read Polish group and there are couple of people with very unlucky cars, however rejecting car in Poland is almost impossible, so they go back and forth to the dealer. Someone collected brand new car and had issues straight away with DSG box and electronics. Someone else bought car as a gift for a wife, but already sold it after being fed up with problems and got Mercedes GLB 35.

I'm sure there are some horror stories on German group and in other countries.

Here in Ireland I had to sign a document withdrawing my power of returning the car after 30 days so the dealer would sell me the car, otherwise they wouldn't. Seems to be a common thing done by dealers here.

That sounds illegal.

I'm not sure if that would hold up in court, but that's what happened
Yeah, I know. Often times dealers/companies try to force things onto customers that would not hold up in court. I'm not sure of exact legalese but I am betting there is a EU regulation about it and that companies can't legally void that right (regardless of what you sign).

Luckily my car was fine so I did not have to look into it.

In last 8 weeks I have had 2 brand new Leon's both with software issues everytime garage says its fixed complete rubbish 4 weeks a go I picked up 21 plate leon and it's spent 3 weeks in garage so far

Quick update. My car is going back to the dealership for more fixes.
Dash is showing multiple errors, and the infotainment screen is not turning on at all anymore.
Let's see what they say it is this time.

So the temperature reading also likes to freeze up on occasion (and lasts the whole power cycle). Actual temperature controls continue to work, the reading just remains the same.

Keep a detailed log of all faults. It’ll come in handy for any goodwill from Cupra later on.

That's a really good advice.

Everything is being sent to them via email. Hope that's proof enough in case some action is needed.

The dealer's service manager has proven to be a really good one. Nothing to complain there.

Might be easier to keep a document yourself and keep adding to it like a diary rather than try to track down emails afterwards.

It worked with me when I returned my mk8 golf 2 months ago.

Good luck!

My V2 is not due until later in the year so let's hope it will be in a better shape as ... unfortunately I recognize all the errors you are seeing from my golf apart from the SOS one!

Yet again the climate controls stopped working today. This time it was very erratic whether the temperature controls would respond but the temperature display was stuck the whole time. Basically every control related to AC was unresponsive...

My car will need an infotainment module replacement. It was ordered and should be done by next week.

For now I'm rocking the 2021 manual 1.5 Formentor.

Mine is back in next week.
Still suffering from a camera that doesn’t work more than it does and various other issues (new one this week of sat nav not appearing in central dash display).
So fed up and disappointed with the car because of this, I’m hardly doing any miles in it.
If it comes back from the dealer with these issues still present I’m going to start the process of rejecting it and Cupra buying it back from me.

Can I top everyone’s faults today? Car will not start at all. Doesn’t even attempt to turn-over. It’s flagging all these faults in sequence:

Lane assist, front assist, rear traffic assist, dynamic road sign display, and finally drive system: please visit workshop!

To their credit Seat were very quick to respond to the breakdown call and a nice lady took down the details and offered either an AA technician within an hour or Cupra technician within two hours. As it’s parked on the drive and I’m in no rush to go anywhere, I’m waiting for the Cupra tech to arrive... could be interesting.

Wow Andy...you win this one! Keep us posted mate and hope they get it working again. Though if you were to reject it after this...then I am sure no one will argue!
