If you look at the document associated with the link there is mention of ECU.

Im nit stating any mapping has been done only that my car feels like it’s got 306hp now whereas before it was a little limp.

I think that limpness is dialled in to the gearbox map, so unless the software download has changed the mapping of the gearbox then I think you might be having a bit of a placebo effect.
As soon as a remap is available that issue will undoubtedly be properly put to bed.

I just hope that the dealer updates resolves all of the system nonsense, otherwise I won’t keep the car for long enough for a developer to develop a remap........

Anyone else experiencing the infotainment occasionally saying ' changing your settings' giving you either cancel or okay. When I have pressed okay it has changed my driving mode etc and maybe other things...

My VZ2 was in at the Dealers yesterday for the update which I can confirm took around 5 hrs and has to be completed at the dealers.

My car is So improved over what I previously had. The infotainment system is updated from 1666 to 1672 and feels a lot more responsive even when cold.

As for driving the car, it’s as if it has now cone alive. Throttle response and acceleration are so much better and the car is now as it should be.

If you have a VIN that ends between 00226 and 07184 then go book your car in and get the updates done.
Are you sure that is a 16xx version? I have a 1790 version on mine as showed in this post. From what told me my Cupra advisor after taking notice of some erratic behaviour of different subsystems (infotaiment, Front asst, Side and Exit to name few), told me that 15 April Seat will release some software updates to solve many problems.

Got a booking on Apr 19 for getting it updated (not an Air release so is more than infotainment updates). Time will tell if that rowdy spoiled brat that exhibits from time to time is solved.

So is every Formentor due to go in for a factory update? Should I be contacting my dealer?

Yes it is a 16xx version. My car was built Nov 2020 and the software was 1666 when bought

And after the update it is now 1672

What I've told you is straight from the mouth of my Cupra advisor said to me some hours ago and... just for the sake of checking... before entering the car I'll do a VCDS scan and another after just to compare what modules have been changed.

So older cars get pushed to software 1672 by the dealer, but software 1790 is also not working properly.....
I’m not holding my breath on this being the solution just yet.
Will find out next week.......

I read that 1790 version will be updated to 1803, 2nd quarter of 2021. Don't have any details yet.

My car is behaving ok, so I will wait for others to update and report.

Agreed mine has the odd brainfart with its software and needed a new reversing camera but overall very very happy with it

My car had a bit of a brainfart with the sat nav today. Middle of a town and said I was out in the countryside ha. Sorted itself out with ignition off/ on. The problem I had with all of the heating controls the other week was most worrying though, but thankfully that hasn't come back.

One key thing I'm sticking by is when getting into the car not bamboozling it with numerous commands In the first minute. It seems to take a few minutes for it to set up properly and react to your commands. A bit like opening up your laptop turning it on and double clicking every icon you have- never ends well.

I'm on 1790, I didn't have any issues so far. Car is 2xxxx VIN number so only a couple of weeks old.

I'm posting so we don't get only negative feedback here.
Good call. All good for me. Mine's build week 6 of 2021, VIN number 1****, software 1790. 🤓

Agree with that totally

I’m kind of disagreeing - if the car continues with these issues it’s not good enough to tolerate.
I never expected it to be an amazingly dynamic drive (a remap will improve it when one is eventually available), but I could forego that due to the tech making it a great place to sit, so whilst the tech is failing it doesn’t have enough for me!
Hoping the dealer can pull this **** show out of the bag as if they don’t then my time with this car will be limited.
