Im looking at changing my FR's ARB's to some LCR ones if the are any stiffer? Does anyone know if there is any difference in the standard bars?:)

lcr arb attatches to the shocks, but i think the fr if its the same as the golf the arb attatches to the wishbone. you can get uprated arbs for the fr s tho

Yeah, the FR's does connect to the wishbone :(

I was also thinking about changing shocks and springs to stiffen it up a little, any idea if these area different too?

Yeah. My plan was to just stiffen and lower the car slightly but still keeping it OEM. Im trying to avoid putting aftermarket parts on it :)

Get some Eibach front and rear Arb's ( around 360 quid ) , best mod you will do ( bar a huge turbo lol )

TBH I'd rather put that sort of cash towards an LSD to begin with after seeing yours go in Caveo;)

Arrrr , got ya now. Expencive but worth it. ( a tad over 360 quid tho )

Yeah very true, bet you can get the power down a bit better now though.

My main aim is to keep the car looking completly OEM from the outside thus using LRC stuff rather than aftermarking bits :)

True its alot easier to plant it ( all 300 + ) , but seriously NO-ONE see's arb's and they are as good a mod as you can get ( on a par with a diff )

I dont think LCR bit's will be any good for a Diesel as I think you're engine is heavier, therefore they wont be strong enough.
Personally if you're going to the hastle of chaning shock's and ARB's then I think you'd be better off fitting uprated after market one's.

Yeah, very good point, the spring rates will be different to incorperate the extra weight
