How much should this cost?
I've just been quoted £211.24 for a 10,000 mile service. Surely thats wrong!

That does sound very expensive. Has the car only done 10,000 miles in total and how old is it?

It should have an oil change service at 10,000 miles if it is less than 12 months since the last service and that should be under £100. Every 12 months it needs an inspection service to retain the warranty.

In my case I am able to combine them both and have the car serviced every 12 months and the first one (at about 10,000 miles) cost me around £130.

Many people are now having their cars serviced by independent garages which can be much cheaper.

i've got my cupra booked in a the seat dealership for a 30k mile service which consists of a monkey removing a drainplug refitting drain plug and filling with oil and a visual check for a wopping £182 :birdy: what a sack of :censored: im gonna kick up a propper fuss and demand that i only get charged for 1 hours labour instead of there aparant 2 hours!!! (will only take 30mins) wont go to a indipendant garage as i want a FULL SEAT SERVICE HISTORY

Thats menu price servicing fixed prices and then they do it loads quicker, which results in more servcing/repairs being done in a working day and more money in the stealers pocket:censored:

I got told £175.00 at my local seat dealer. 10,000 mile service.

took it to my local VW dealer, was a lot cheaper. under a £100.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;)

ouch! got my 1st service coming up in end of may, car was built on 29th acording to all the stickers ect. or when i reach 10k but im only on just under 6k now.

i want seat history but was just going to take it to the local skoda, i presume i wouldnt loose my warranty then because they are an approved body shop, ect which repaired my car after a bump?
skoda will just be as good as seeing seat in the service book wont it cause they will be using genuine parts?

would take to seat but its a fair bit of traveling to huddersfield, yeadon and bradford but then again bradford isnt that bad to get to but still meens time off work but skoda is 5mins away from me and i pass it on the way to and from work.

i just hope the seat or skoda will give me a fair price and not £200+ cause i cant afford jack when im working part time :( and iv got roadtax due and insurance renewal which i dont want to go up but i know it will all in june:(
