front aero wiper query

got my retro fit wiper kit today, the 21 inch drivers side and 19 inch passenger side bosh kit. All is good but the passenger side one is too long and th tip rests on the plastic in the bottow corner of the screen, is there a way to adjust this at at?

Either trim the bit of ruber that sits on the plastic, or move the wiper arm up a spline on the spindle. It's been covered before.

how do you move the arm up on the spindle? i searched for it but could not find an answer

undo the nut, remove the wiper arm and replase higher up

It's an 18" blade if you have got the "hook"wipers not 19".

Or have you bought genuine golf aero wipers?

i got the retro fit kit from bosh which came as 21 and 19's for the car, so its the hook ones that i have. i will have to adjust the wipers then when i get the chance, sounds pretty easy i assume it won't cause problems?

No it wont, but you can get 18" ones for the Leon.
Sure it is 18" standard.

I have this kit on mine, had no problems with the passenger wiper, although the end of the wiper blade sits 1cm above the edge of the windscreen.

The the upper edge of the wiper arm (just before the elbow), is 1.5cm below the windscreen. Hope that helps.

cheers for the replies, will sort it out and remember thats its 18 for next time. Ironically my ibiza was the same, supposed to be 19's but kept catching so went to 18's so looks like its the same again
