what sort of leon?

if its a my03 cupra then u remove the honeycomb grill (there is one screw, then its juct cliped in)

then once the grill is off there are 2 torq x that hold the foggie in, undo them and detach the cable and bobs ur mothers brother

Yes, I tested two scenario's, stick with me, here's the science bit;-

I tried them Switched off
I tried them switched on

Decided I looked like a Chav with them on, so took them out.

Sorry, didn't understand your original question.

The answer I suppose is that I didn't try anything else on the intercoolers,no. I have been focusing on getting more air (preferably cold) in the airbox, which has involved a variety of ducting, airscoops, moving the battery and a combination of induction kits, airbox, performance panel filters etc. Will get someone to verify my findings with VAG COM on completion.

Just having a play really. Also seeing what sounds I get from the above too i.e, DV echo and induction roar.

With regard to the intercoolers again, I don;t know if what I have done has helped.....but it can't be worse unless I start getting stones in there....not happened in 6 months tho (plenty of flies sometimes ;) ).
