Front lights

I have noticed that the front lights on my Leon are absolutely attrocious!!! I live up in the Highlands and I need bright lights for spotting the deer and sheep that roam the roads.

What is the best bulb upgrade for my car?

Needing your help asap on this one people before I need a new front end!!

no dont think so mate!! there are plenty of people on here using the HID set up and still with the standard headlight unit in!! try a search

Oh right, I thought that the unit had to be changed or even just the wiring. I always meant to fit them to my Type R but the work they (on the CTRO forum) said that was involved put me off.

No need to change anything, HID kits come as just that you get 2 ballast packs, and 2 replacement bulb type HID units and wiring which just slot straight into the lamp the same way as as the original bulb, and you connect the ballast packs to the original wiring.

they r a little bit more expensive than the standard headlight bulbs but well worth it!!! one of my next mods!! just make sure you choose the right colour - too blue and you will deffo get pulled!!!

gotta agree here, you probably don't want to go more than 6000K units, which give a pretty decent bluey/white light, try Ebay theres normally a couple of guys on there doing them for around £75-80..
