Full wheel alignment results (before + after pics) Using hunter laser alignment

Hey folks,

Took the car to the local tyre place who have a Hunter 4 wheel laser alignment, as I had the Seat sport suspension kit fitted on Saturday by a friend, so the alignment/camber was way out.

Here are the results;

Now, the guy said they couldn't get it perfect... But does that look as it should? Im not really too clued up on what im looking at but I'd hazard a guess it's impossible to get it perfect unless on a new car? They also said they never heard of an Ibiza Cupra (!)

There is a special tool for adjusting camber on the ibiza's mate this will get it spot on (unless its had a prang) with the alignment equipment. Glad to see you had it set up on a proper machine though to much toe on the back normally means bent hub or stub axle

no special tool required... just spanners

it's easy to get the camber in range... I can't work out why he hasn't

Hey folks it was a bit annoying as it cost me quite a lot (£110!) Although when phoning a few other places they all quoted similar prices.
It was my brother who took it in as I was at work today, so I might phone them up tommorow and ask why they couldn't get it spot on.

You can do it that way but there is a special tool that fits between the wheel and strut, this then expands adjusting the camber.

camber is easy to adjust using the scissor jack in the boot!!!! Bayliss on here set mine to.01 out and i had the camber set at 1degree either side (my choice as i though .30 wasn't enough to get it to turn in better)

rear is not adjustable as such... unless you remove hub and shim stub axle, which I seriously doubt they do or offer.

front end is set to parallel on tow which is ok, but interesting caster difference (again non-adjustable with any decent range on the bottom ball joint or strut to hub bolts.)

before and after differences on the rear are probably measurement error, as they would'nt have adjusted the rear at all.
rear beam is held by soft bushes, so they're either flagging, or some deformation of the beam/stub axle in a previous life maybe.

I got full four wheel alignment with a print out, using the same technology, for 50.

Been going to the same place for like 3 years now.

Can I have the name of the place then please? cause that's very cheap and would be handy to know :)

the average is £80-£100 for a full four wheel computer alignment mate, if you want the tracking done then that tends to be £30-£50

Overpriced isn't the word!!

I can get mine done 4-wheel alignment up here for £40, but then I get mine done for bugger all as my mate works at his dads garage and it has one :) I could do it for you if you buy me the kit ;)
