Funny whistle on cupra tdi with non res milltek

I have had my non res for 4 months now and really impressed. I was wondering if anyone else who has this gets a funny whitsle sound when lifting off. Its not normal turble whistle...sounds like a bird.

Yeah i get it too mate, its the noise of the turbo spooling down, notice it more when changing at lower end of the rev range, sounds a bit like a pigeon!

dozza have you had your car rrd. I have bas map and got 199.4 and 450nm. That was on a hot day aswell. Probs more like 205bhpish.

Is it really that loud lol, i think it must be a 130 thing then seeing as you all have cupras. It seemed to gradually get louder and louder since i got the downpipe fitted. Makes me laugh though when people turn to see wtf that was!

Hmm.... so is that a full milltek system then? Downpipe, DeCat and tailpipe?

I sounds very nice as you accelerated even though there is some kind of owl stuck in there.

Its a full system but with a "sports cat" i was going to change it to a decat but the cat helps keep the smoke down a bit. There seems to be a debate over the noise either being a pigeon or an owl lol

Maybe yours is that loud because you secretly have a heavily modified twin turbo motor that you haven't told us about.

Or ofcourse just an angry owl up there somewhere.

Its the sport cat that does that, I checked with milltek, won't be ordering mine witht the sports cat, just cat back resonated.

Im not entirely sure its all down to the cat because i know someone with a decat (jbs mike) whos milltek makes the same noise, not sure how loud though.

I presume you mean non reasonated as you will barely hear any engine noise with the reasonated version.

I keep getting told both are good! Which doesn't help!
