Hi! I'm from Poland. I am trying to modify the navigations, I tried your backups, but unfortunately it does not work for me, I have gray fields etc. I would like to have the oil temperature.
I can't do this. I have no files. Will someone write me directly how to do it?
I want a different look and temperature of the oil.
I have a 2013 ibize diesel

I just bought a second hand seat ibiza 2013 1.2 TDI. I was browsing through the forum and found that you have already done some extensive work on reverse engineering the PID port.
My car does not have a dock for the Garmin navigation system but since the radio is the same I was wondering if I could use the port to implement my own bluetooth audio device.
Do you know if the 'navigation' media option can be enabled in the car radio?
If so, I believe I could just use the A-R and A-L lines of the PID port.

Things I am working on as of now (16.02.2016)

Rerverse Engineering the Dataprotocol (making some slow process on BAP and CAN)

Theming the device (on hold, more important stuff to do)

Developing on the Device (on hold until Android app works)

Adding Support for other Cars (Need your help for that)

Building my own Device (Based on Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30H)
- Making connection via Wire (worked well, but bluetooth is the way to go)
- Using bluetooth now (Works well now. OPAmps are used to Levelshift)
- Devloping Android App ( making good progress)
- 3D Print a Housing and Holder.
Hi, I,m new here
I recently purchased an Ibiza Cupra facelift model 2014 but it didn't have the Garmin system.
I would like to buy one to upgrade the radio but I can't find any specifics for the Cupra and from what I was able to determine the OE reference is different from the normal ones.
My doubt is if I can buy one of these and adapt it to my Cupra since I have the connection on the dashboard
Many Thanks

Hello robomrburns,

I installed your Attachment, works fine!
I have only a problem with the car-skin when the doors opened. My car have 5 doors and the Cupra skin in the attachment has only 3. Is it possible to change the skin?

best regards
Did you ever get this working? Mine doesn't show my doors open at all, which is a small annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless.

So, I've done some research on this device, since my gf has an Ibiza, which is now rocking it 🙃

There are some cool features, like the gearshift indicator which I haven't yet seen active anywhere:

The gearshift also is in the UserSettingsTubes.default configuration file:

I'm making some updates to the skin files of the device, and I'll try to connect to the serial console today, to see what's on there. I like the binary hacks that were done, but maybe there's a better way to achieve the same by changing configurations on the inside of the device.

Getting somewhere, old school Windows CE. It's been a while since I last played with such a device...

I decided to give it some small updates, to make it more "mine", and as a proof of concept ;-)

Findings so far:
- Windows Embedded CE 6.0 is running on it
- Total commander can be run
- I added some more apps, like VWHighBeam (shows some high beam lights animation) and VWPaint (a touchscreen notes app).
- latest version for Seat seems to be 7.16.9
- there's a hidden partition inside that holds the settings. This can be useful because it might allow additional settings to be set that are normally not available through the user interface. I'm currently experimenting with modifying them manually
- setting the tube setting to Gear shift doesn't seem to work..
