Gas bonnet strut. Any one done one

just wondering if any one has put a gas bonnet strut on a mk4 insead of the crappy bar to keep the bonnet up. if so what car do you need the strut off etc?? any pics?

Try a scrappy for some mk4 golf 1's???

yeah, it's well easy on the mk3 but it seems like too much work on the mk4

some fabrication of brackets needed and the like IIRC
