That looks pretty neat and a bit less intusive than with the stuts running up and down the side of the bonnet. Not that there is anything wrong with the other way of doing it, just that your way looks a bit more "stealth". Can you remember what pressure (Nm) the struts are or is that specified somewhere in your other thread?

Does the bonnet open as wide (vertical) as with the original stay? It looks from your pictures like it might do.
 
Hey guys, my strut and bolts arrived, waiting on the brackets like Rob, I've never actually fiddle with a gas strut before so I presumed I would be able to adjust in by hand? Am I wrong, can it only be adjusted when fitted? Am I doing something wrong or is it faulty?

Hi mate if you are referring to compressing it by hand then yes you can but it takes some fair effort.It won't be faulty that's just the way they are.
