ive never used fiberglass before (is that what id use?) on a scale of 1-10 how easy you recon itd be to get a used vent and make my own?

With patience and time - it's no more difficult than making a model aeroplane - tbh if you have the skill to Dj .... i can't see you failing at this

No its mdf and a bit of modeling filler.

how did you fix the mdf to the vent if you dont mind me asking?

Glue and some filler, it is a nice tight fit as well.

50mm gauge from halfrauds

does the job, looks the part and lights red same as the interior.
