Gauge Locations

Anyone any other ideas where a boost gauge could go in an LC other than a-pillar and those horrible standalone pods? I've been looking around but it seems most have gone for the a-pillar from nomad.

Is there also scope for changing the ashtray for an LCR one and mounting it down there somehow?

Any other ideas?

wak-tt.com have done the ashtray mod on a TT
I was thinking of mounting them in the cluster Hoda style (there are some housing on ebay but are from europe so cant translate)
Or maybe centre console?

I liked the digital boost readout he installed on his TT - very smart - not cheap at £195 for the display though! Pity there's no microphone slot on the LC's housing.

I have been after something that a lot of the skyline brigade have.

It goes around your dials with two holes for gauges.

Had no luck finding them tho

I think there's scope to fit gauges in the ashtray area (after first removing the ashtray!), but personally I think it's too low down to be of use - you need to be able to see the gauge easily when you're booting it or it's not much use.

There was a link to a bit of kit that diaplyed boost etc in the Driver Information System, but it wouldn't work with thee Leon dash. Their web site says they were doing a newer version, but I don't think anything happened...http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=33848&highlight=LED+Boost

But, then again, you've probably already got your gauge?

My German's a bit ropey but that's just 4 metallic tachorings I think! I have no idea what the white part is in the pic!

Ow sorry should have explained it a bit better. I know the adds for the tach rings but i want to buy the white housing around them! So i wanted to know if anyone knows what it is and where i can get one! so i can mould in my pods. Looking at it there is room for screws in the top so maybe not a new Leon? or a euro spec one?

I think it's just a shroud that fits in the dash. Never seen them for sale though, probably custom.

left the cordoba as it had silver dials anyway

hi there,a slighty different question,but i have bought a double pillar pod and also a boost gauge,i am wanting to know which other gauge would be better to buy an oil pressure or an oil temperature???and why which ever is better,cheers ashley
