One thing that had been really bugging me since owning my car from last November has been the gear stick gaiter.
Finally after buying it back in March, i got around to fitting it now that i finished my last uni exam (graduation soon!).
I bought the gaiter off ebay, black leather with red stitch for a decent price, £8 or something so couldnt fault it!
Well it had been sitting in my bedroom for the past 2 or more months and finally went and did it today... and what a difference.
It was a bitch of a potch, the seat collar that holds the old gaiter in place wouldnt fit back on due to the thickness in the leather but improvised and used 2 jubilee clips, one to hold the gear knob on the stick and another to hold the gaiter on.
Literally my only complaint would be that the leather is a little thick but im sure the company will address that eventually if they get told (they asked for a photo from myself as its the first time they made one for an mk1).
So here are the before and after photo's

As you can see its a great improvement and goes with the colour of my car
