Getting new map put on car

Going down south tonight with a friend to go and get a new map put on the leon Pretty excited. Will do an update as soon as i have got it on the car. The car itself wil be custom mapped on the rollers and on the road so will be in getting done most of saturday.

Well the map has been done and all i can say is OMG what a difference. Car was RR'd before and after. And endeded up making 25 bhp more and 67nm of torque more and was pushed to the limits. The car was dyno'd 17 times and the remap was completly altered in custom fashion both on the rollers and road. All in all the map took between 4-5 hours to correct, and to drive it is amazing. It pulls so so hard upto 5000 rpm and in actual fact max bhp is held from 3400 rpm -4600 rpm.
I did ask for a smokey map. And if all honest it is horrendous. The fuelling was turned upto the max without the car losing power. But i have already been pulled on the way up the road tonight.
And when i say horrendous i mean horrendous! The car leaves a 15 foot trail of thick thick black smoke and you physically can't see the cars behind you. The amount of cars that flashed me for it on the way back to Scotland was unbelievable! I am absolutly over the moon with this map and a full write up to come

And the smoke is supposed to be a good thing? Maybe I'm just getting old but I'd imagine it just looks like you're driving a fuct motor!

Forgive me if you find me rude, but why the heck would you want your car smoking like that, thats just excess fuel meaning your car is running too rich. also is something all the chavs do over here in their old 306s, how would you feel sitting behind someone having to choke on their fumes? Still, as long as your happy!

A very smokey map is a poor map in my opinion. But aslong as your happy

Usually but i was there when this map was done

As BIGG says his car spent about 5-6 hours on the RR being tested etc all of the mapping was done infront of our eyes and we (me,BIGG and Kilner) are now confident that this map has got the most of the PD170 without fitting a new Turbo.The mapper did the map Smoke free but Bigg asked him to give it some smoke
