Gloss black bump strips? Help removing the original ones?

Has anyone ever had this done? Looking to blend it in with the gloss black mirrors and wheels and prefer the bump strip to be a different colour than that of the body as it breaks it up well.

Does anyone know if the bump strips are stuck on with some type of glue or do they clip on?

They're stuck on round the edge and slot into holes on the bodywork. You'll be better off getting some new strips from the dealer with these part numbers (cost ~ £20)...

... painting them gloss black off the car, peeling off the old strips and fitting those.

You won't be able to just peel off the old strips and paint those as they will get ruined whilst removing!

But in my opinion black strips would make the car look more of a basic model?
