This is true. I think the fun factor is so much higher on the petrols. No doubt.

But I get that fun in my MR2 now so I'm good.
Nowhere near the power of your lovely beast, but I've seen the light with a mid-engine

Glad to hear you've got the best of both worlds bud :) your leon is a cracker as well :)

meh it's alright  haha
It's no Cupra R stg2+....but I do enjoy being the quickest car on the road 80% of the time...and still seeing 45-50mpg

My wife does tell me a lot though that she knows for a fact that I will end up with a Cupra R not long from now.

I think your wife is a bigger petrol head than you!

I don't think she meant it in the sense that she will buy me one!

`

To be honest I have my doubts... I still have a lot of playing around to do with my MR2, and I do love my FR...it's lovely.

It would need to be a white, black or speed blue BTCC Cupra R with leather interior etc etc. Try finding one of those...

Aside from the fact that I love DSG.

Did you get anywhere with finding a cupra? Iv been deliberating for months now about changing from Fr tdi, iv looked at other Marques, but to keep the wife happy as it OUR CAR not just mine, I'm back on the cupra hunt,
My only boggle is the bloody stealers px value, if you look at the book price between a 09 plate fr tdi and a 59 plate cupra, there's only a grand difference yet they insist on offering you the lower end of the spectrum and demanding the higher end plus a grand on top, so you end up looking at part ex plus £2.5k,then all they'll do is whack £1.5 to £2k on your px

Iv been enquiring about the red one Evan halshaw have on autotrader, just waiting on there valuation, car in question has been for sale for months so they might be willing to do a deal, surly the diesel will sell quicker

I had a 5 plate cupra for 3 months, Never saw it get past 22mpg even when driven slowly.. In the end i bought an 08 fr tdi.. aways see atleast 37mpg now on same journey.. and also goes into high 40's 50's on decent runs..

My question is... Can i still get this fr tdi done to give me better performance? With remap and dpf taken out what bhp would i be looking at? And would it be a fairly nippy car? Miss the cupra :-(
