Wow thats quite a list. Lets add the poor dealer support to it though, went in today to.find no customer service guy there, just one salesman sat behind a desk at the far end of the showroom playing on his phone. I asked him for a settlement figure because I wanted shot of my car abd he didnt even ask why!

poor service , the emissions scandal has fecked used prices so not worth me selling up so early
good job i got 10k off list

No doubt about it, I'll have to take a hit. Ive checked my outstanding finance and its on parity with what webuyanycar offered me. Come june it b will be service time, road tax and two tyres so theres £500 I wont be spending, should soften the blow slightly. Im running like the wind, hopefully lots of others will do the same when they realise your loyalty gets you nothing from these lot!

sadly though pretty much all brands are the same service wise so i dont expect much better from any other, just buy a car well screwed together and worth the asking price

The way I see it Ive got until may to scour owners forums to find people who are honest enough to own up to the flaws of the car without being blinded by pride

lol no pride here , i am welcome to tell you my car is not worth list price. :D

I look through the forums to find solutions for my car problems, not to moan about them.

Settle down lads....

To sum this up, we only ever want a product to problem free. We are all annoyed by different things. A rattle seriously irritates me and ruins my drive, its just one of those things i cant stand where as something like say road noise, may irritate others but wouldnt even register for me. We dont get to decide what pisses us off and what doesnt. I might end up having to fix it myself if i cant get a fix at a main dealer.

If anyone fixed thier door rattle successfully i would greatly appreciate some tips

I have a rattle on my drivers door (I think it's the door) and is mainly apparent with the speaker / bass - doesn't even have to be that loud either!

Knowing how useless my dealer is and how high my standards are, I can guarantee the dealer will just make things worse; I wouldn't mind a crack myself. Yes, I am loathed to do this on a brand new car, but; it's just easier and less hassle doing it myself.

Can anyone advise how much Silent Coat I'll need per door please?

I ordered 10 sheets for £15. That seemed plenty though there's still a slight rattle! Also worth buying some of the lighter sound deadening foam to pack into the door space as well.

Another piece of advice is don't scrimp by trying to re-use any of the door clips - they are so cheap just replace the lot.

I have taken mine twice for rattle fixes and both times they have made it worse. Defeinately do it yourself if you have the time.

Im not brave enough to remove the door cards. Im sure i wouldnt be able to get them back on!

I agree with the above. It's a relatively easy job to remove and replace the door, especially if you have a second pair of hands to assist. I am certainly no expert and I managed.

Also, the dealer fix will consist of them removing the door card, placing a small amount of felt-backed tape (I don't think there is any logic to where they put it), breaking several door clips they won't replace and putting the door card back on badly.

I'm waiting for better weather to do mine. I have all the kit ready but I just cant trust the weather at the moment.

Well! Just found out that the passenger door window switch doesnt work! A few weeks after they fix the rattle in the same door...

Whats the betting they didnt plug it back in?

If its unrelated I will eat my hat! haha.

When they fixed the rattle before they padded everything out inside by adding foam.

Guarantee its gonna come back rattly again when they fix the switch.
