its a pretty straight forward conversion really but i would seriously recommend spending money on decent suspension and arbs

i have just started to collect some parts to turbo mine as i am bored of it now(not the noise tho)

did you run factory mk3 ecu or aftermarket ecu
 
U meaning a golf Mk3 Vr6 ecu yeah?!?
I think i can maybe get a hold of a 2.9 vr6 engine and box for my 2.0 8 valve cupra. is there any difference in the conversion if its the rado's 2.9 ur putting in?
I already have a 1995 rado vr myself but im really keen for converting the ibiza aswell and maybe sneeking a charger on just for the giggles aswell!loL! I have done a conversion before but that was a nice smple 1.2 corsa to 2.0 redtop conv. i'd imagine this will be a tad diff!loL!

yeah mk3 golf vr6 ecu and there shouldnt really be any difference from the golf to corrado, its a dead easy conversion really
 
Oh right kool. by wat am reading the only trouble is getting the right drive shafts for the job and then the wiring. Raddo dave would you be able to send me a s**t list of all thats required? like if you need the whole loom or if just the engine loom is able to be hard wired in and what sort of drive shafts/engine mounts you went for etc? coz that would be awsomely handy!loL!
I have just bought a 2.8 VR6 engine and box and loom so i am just awating its delivery!!! :)
 
i think u will need 10 posts on here before i can pm u

basically all u need is the loom that goes from the fuse box to ecu to engine and it all just plugs straight in no messing

as for drive shafts just use ibiza 2ltr 16v ones they will do the trick

also use a 16v front panel,rad and fans

by the way i have a spare set of drive shafts and hubs if u need um
 
Alrite thanks alot! I'll hopefully get the conveersion started sometime soon. the cylinder head and everythings off the engine thats in at the moment so it shouldnt take much more to get the whole thing out i've got a hoist etc so should be a good job! Just need to get new lights up in the arage so i can work on it at night! LOL!
I'll let you know if i need the shafts and hubs which i probably will! Im guessing the 16 valve hubs are still 4 stud are they coz that would be great! Got 3 sets of 4x100 wheels sitting!loL!

Just found out that my cupra rad is the same as a 16 valver so wont need to hunt for another rad! :)
So how much would you be needing for your shafts and hubs mate?
 
That sounds like a good enough price. How come your selling them? not keeping as spares for your own!lol!

what did you do considering the pedal box/clutch etc?

i dont need them any more and i sold the car a few months back

i just just the vr6 box with the actuator set up from a 2ltr 16v abf ibiza and that worked perfect
 
alrite kool. that sounds straight forward enough! im offshore at the moment but get back 2moz and hopefully by that time my engine and box will maybe have arrived! but i will prob take then driveshafts and hubs off your hands! Have you got a paypal account?!?
