Well Saturday I picked up the C4. Thought I write and tell you all about it.
Left home at silly o'clock in the morning as I stupidly had left my spare key at my mums. It also didn't help that it had snowed over night which meant I had to make my last drive the in Seat a rather slow one. After the long slow drive to Slough I signed the paper work paid the cash and handed over the keys to the Ibiza. I was walked to my new Citroen C4 and I have to be honest I was a little sad to see the Ibiza go but once I saw the C4 that all changed. The C4 is a pretty looking car and so comfortable to drive..
The 150 mile trip home was so effortless. For a 1.6 HDI engine it is rather poky and at motorway speeds has a lower RPM than the Ibiza. I was a bit worried when trying to move from the middle to the fast lane of the M25 as I didn't think the power was there but a pull on the flappy paddle and a down shift later it easily picked up speed to handle life in the fast lane. This was a BIG worry of mine as over taking power for lorries is something that not many people take in to account.
The steering wheel has everything you need on it cruise control is a blessing I don't know how I ever managed life with out it and the EGS system although not as refined as the DSG it is a rather impressive bit of kit. After about 10 miles I had the gear changes down to a tea. The auto mode again just effortless and will make my city driving to work something to enjoy again. And with the added features of Auto Dimming Rear Mirror. Auto Wipers and Auto Lights just make life so easy. Also as of April tax drops to £30 for the year which is just stupidly low. Along with the misses Ayro we can tax both cars for a year and go out on the town for for the night on the change lol
all in all 100% happy with the C4![]()
Best of luck mate. Wouldnt keep it past the end of the warranty though.
