 :funk:GREAT NEWS:cheeky:
!! After much deliberation, searching and ebay watching, ive finally bought a set of second hand coilovers for £160 V-maxx!! the coilovers themselves came in a very well packaged box with everything included! Just a couple of queries tho….

- There is no C-spanner in the box to adjust the height where can i get one for my kit?.
- Does the car in terms of lowering need to follow any kind of principle i.e. if the front is -40mm then the back should be -30mm or does it matter if they are lowered equally??
- Are there any specifics in terms or tracking? I know I need to do it, but should I get it set to anything specific i.e. mild toe in/out…???

Many thanks!

you will need it re tracked once height is sorted.

Personally i intend to take my mini to someone like Elite once i have fitted my coilovers

All i did was lower the left and right exactly the same amount i lowered the back to as low as it would go which still isn't that low lol and i lowered the front as low as i could without scraping the floor as i came off my drive, are you fitting them yourself or taking them to a garage?? if your taking to to the garage they should sort it out for you!!

Im fitting them my self! (well ill be doing it with my dad whos a mechanic) He said something about when he put coilovers on his 3.0 capri...he had the back a little lower than the front and he said it F***ed up the aerodynamics of the car. Im not sure if this applys to a humble 1.2 12v but i just dont want to have anything go wrong...

any ideas about the tracking setting?

my general guide to doing things myself is if i'm in any doubt, send it somewhere that knows what's going on. i fitted my strut brace and my filters myself, but my bushes were left to the experts ;)

Try it level ish, lowest setting on the back - easy to do.

Front go 3/4 of the way down, no problems with aerodynamics - its better than a Capri :D

Tracking, go to tyre place and hand over the keys and £60, job done :)

You worry too much!

1: Fit
2: Lower/Adjust Height
3: Tracking
4: Job done, take pic, admire, put on SCN :D

Ha ha :D

Make sure you grease them up and wind the adjusters up and down a few times before fitting at the height you need :)

I gave mine to Skoda to do... so no idea there mate!

You need a special tool to undo a bolt iirc

His are only height adjustable.

Ride is firm but handles like a dream, not much bodyroll either.
