Green cotton air filter oil - alternatives?

Hopefully not a stupid and tight ar**d question, but does anyone else use anything other than the 'green' air filter oil?

A MAF is probably about £50
Using the wrong oil you risk fekin up this and costing yourself £50
I bought a K & N filter recharger for about £15 years ago

I did and Green was only a bit more than the K & N stuff - I stuck with it
