belive me you wouldnt regret it for a minute , im only 18 and have had mine for 2 weeks now , but the feeling of putting your foot down and easily passing all the other young guns on the road in there saxos and fiestas is awesome , not the fastest 2.0 but an amazing car to drive , now that mine has the coilovers on it out handled my uncles mx5 tracktoy around the backroads near my house.
Mine set me back 2k , also pretty much standard and very vell maintained by the previous owner from new and also was bought from a friend of mines dads garage brand new
alright got mine with 80k for £250 came with full set of 17s pipercross air filter powerflow middle boxand back box a spare17 and a super chip with front end damage . i threw £337 at it black angel lights blacked tinted rear lights set of porsche teledials . then just as i got made redundant i bought coilovers for it sods law ..
Erm is it possible to fit a turbo to my AGG 2.0ltr 8v? if so how qwould i go about it?
arp used to do a bolt on kit for a mk3 golf 8v , ibiza runs the same engine and in most cases management so one of those would probably work if you can source one , if not , i know you can get full turbo kits for vw 8v engines ( minus internals ) for about 600 quid on ebay , unsure if they would work with the agg although it does list from a 1.6-2.0 , comes direct from the states with all the bits you need , turbo manifold , intercooler , oil cooler , t3/t4 turbo , dump valave , intercooler pipework and all fixtures and fittings ect , more than likely not the best quality stuff but at least you have a good base to work from in the future
There are still some very nice cars on ebay and if you made the jump to a 8v gti craig you wouldnt be sorry.
I remember picking my white 8v up on a bank holiday from a chap in bournemouth. i had a 4 hr drive home and i didnt want it to end. I was so happy with it and i still get a lot of enjoyment out of it now when i occasionally take it for a spin or if i use it for work if my valver is in the garage. Dont get me wrong though i love my 16v to bits but it wants to be let loose like a crazy thing all the time.
Like i said above though we need to give the 8v some love over the next few weeks just to freshen it up a tad....nothing major just some new number plates and valve caps ect...It stil runs like a dream
also....(sorry to drag on ) when it was mine i put some spax 40mm springs on it and i think they are taking there toll on the stock shocks so think ill need to get some coilies for it....oh and fetch that bloody FSE valve off it
