H&R Cup Suspension Kit - Opinions Please

Well i wouldn't say i drive like my a$$ is on fire 24/7 (but since i sold my bike, i'm finding i'm driving faster than i did) so probably just 24/6 then !!!
And i keep seeing the H&R cup kit for sale on fleebay, at £300, and am still tempted by the price and what you guy's have said about them, but what's concerning me is the drop they state with this kit being 55/40 which i'm concerned might be a little to much, with driveshaft problems etc, etc.
Tbh, if i had the money i wouldn't hessitate to go down the bilstein route, had them before on loads of cars and they were simply excellent, but i'm really trying to not spend to much money on this car, hence the dilemma's over the suspension...
anyhoo.. i expect i'll make me mind up at some point

the car wont drop any more than 35mm. Mine is proof of itDon't suppose you could do me favour and when you get a moment measure your ride height as a comparison for me please
I did mine the other day from ground to centre of the wheel arch lower lip and it was 670mm front & 670mm rear.
Could be a bit subjective tho' i spose depending on where you do & if the grounds level or not

They look like the coilover variant Loon so the car may well sit lower. What I have is the springs and dampeners kit.
EDIT: not sure tbh, get the part numbers from them tbh because my kit looks different.

I found this some years ago, with a 309 gti i had, went to get some new front arb bushes and got them home wrong size, took them back and it transipred i had a much larger front arb fitted than normal as it was off the france only 309 gti-16.... must have been all they had when the car was built.

now that you've mentioned it possibly; they don't say their coilovers, probably just a library pic,
I wouldnt buy from them then until you got some part numbers to be 100% sure what you are getting. Have you seen my thread? I got part numbers there:

I've checked your thread and part #, and just emailed them asking the part # so hopefully they'll get back to me shortly....
I've looked at the H&R site, and there are 2 diffeent front axle weight kits, so now i'm evern more confused.

Think your right, looking in my handbook the front axle weight of my 2002 20vt is stated as 955kg
the 1.9 tdi 110 is stated as 980kg
Which means i'd need the h&r cup kit part # hr-31-017-1 upto 980kg
The 017-2 kit is the tdi suitable one
