Pictures Added - Koni FSD and Eibach Pro Kit Fitted to the FR

Have read over the last couple of months of people who've also found the ride on their Leon on the uncomfortable side.

After much debate I chose to have the suspension upgraded as I was finding the ride a bit too 'bouncy' for my liking. - The gamble has been well worth it and for me personally is how I wish the car was setup from factory.

The handling has never been an issue, the car still handles really well with no body roll and good feedback and predictablility.

The ride however is much better at both low and higher speeds. Where before I was bouncing around, the suspension now, despite being firm absorbs the bumps so much better. I waited before commenting until I got the chance to go down a couple of roads which were notably bad before, one low speed (town driving) and one higher speed - both now feel completely different.

The car, now slightly lower fills the arches nicely without going over the top which I didn't want, lowering I would say by the 30mm the springs state.

Overall I can more than recommend this setup to anyone who is contemplating changing the suspension setup.

I just want to say thanks to Mark and the team at Awesome GTI for supplying the kit and for taking me out in their GTI with the same set up so I could see if it was to my liking.

Would also like to thank Keith and the team at Votex in Congleton for fitting everything including full tracking and also Headlight adjustment - top job guys!.

Both companys were really helpful, friendly and informative - Nice one!

I suppose i have gone 'over the top' with my lowering :D[/QUOTE]

Thought you'd got the Eibach Pro Kit on yours too??

I just wanted to avoid 'grounding' with all the speed bumps around here!!

what is the clearance like with the 18"s ?, and does it jack the rear up like some kits ? been thinking about getting this for a couple of weeks, but would have to wait till Feb for the spare cash.

I would say the clearance has halved, and seems to have lowered it all round by equal amounts.

I'll post some pictures at the weekend (weather permitting). I've the same car as yourself - Luna, 18" alloys so it will give you an idea.

good man, i am fairly happy with the OE set up but its the bouncing that gets me, also thought the car should have been lowerer when Seat brought them out.But the Koni FSD get a good write up, they are in this months VW driver too.

What sort of costs are we talking about - if you don't mind?

I noticed that you have a tube intake system in your car. How is the performance with it and can you hear the woosh louder now? i.e. Is the blowoff recirculation valve audible now?

The p-flo?

Well I love it, the main addition is the noise, and does add alot of noise if your into that kind of thing. You can definatly hear the recirc valve now!

Its supposed to add a slight bit of performance, but i can never tell these things!

Pictures Added!

Not the best pictures but shows the difference in the standard setup and with the Eibachs/Koni suspension:

The angle and the camera flash makes the clearance look larger than it is - just washed hence the brake discs!.
