Had my Cupra a week now and I'm getting that horrible smell when i have the fans on, i've searched and read threads related to this but the bad smell only happens when the air con is turned off.....any ideas?

Had a couple of problems with the boot not opening, think abit of oil did the trick, and the rear wash wipe wasn't spraying any water onto the rear window, so had a look at that and a pipe had come loose behind the interior boot light.

Also there is a cup sign on my dash next to the rear demist button, but this doesn't seem to open.

Apart from that alls good.

The fan smell, could be you pollen filter needs changing!

The cup holder! it does get abit jammed! press it in and it should pop out! IF not give abit of a whack and may be a little tug that may help

Don't bother with it. Worst cup holder I have ever come across

agreed the cup holder is rubbish! mine got stuck so i forced it open and the front panel popped off and when i eventually got it open the spring came out with it too. :(

It's not the worst cup holder in the world. C'MON. Try the one on the glove box door! :)

ah, that IS the worst cup holder ever, my passenger side doorcard got bathed in coke because of that thing. it wasn't funny and it made me swear a lot too! :censored:

Haha. I took one look at it and thought "There's no way anything liquid is ever being held in that!

Speaking of the main cup holder, it's perfect for 330ml cans.

Thanks for the replies, but I've got one more quick question. *** searched the forum regarding this as its to do with the dump valve but couldn't find the answer. Is the dump valve on my car (leon cupra 180 T 51 reg)the original because it makes quite a loud Tsshh and i was wondering is there a quieter one that i could get or is there anyway of making the one i have quiet or silent. Just sounds abit too loud the current one.

Thanks

they normal come with the standard bosch!
you have to hav a look on which you have, its abit hard to tell from here!
the upgraded are normally forge or a DV!
Hope you **** got the full BOV!

Cheers i'll have a look to see what it is. This may sound a stupid question, but whats the full BOV?

Sorry bit of a newbie to all this.

with these 1.8T engines that have the MAF (thingy on airfilter), need a reciculating DV NOT BOV (Blow Off Valve).

Check and find out what make dv you have and does it goe back in?

(forge now does a spiltter valve that does both).

Cheers, what damage if any will this do if i keep it on? Not that i want to with how loud it is.

Not really sure - think it will just throw error codes out...but don't quote me on that.

I've still got my original Bocsh unit from when I changed to a Forge in a box at home somewhere if you want a cheaper option...

well it will mess up as the pressure suppose to go back in abd maf is not sensing it causing the car to run incorretly!
If you puta backa recirculating valve back in! youshoudl notice some different!

Not sure whats blocking it, its how it came and i didn't think they came like this, so im glad i checked now. Went to a shop earlier and asked if they sold re-circulating valves and they tried to sell me a dv30, but after researching them on here that isn't what im after is it.
