Compared to my Stage 2 LCR, its obviously not got the sheer grunt. But in standard trim, its racier, revs more freely and spools quickly. I'd say the R would have the edge at the moment due to sheer torque figures. But a Stage 2 new Cupra. whoa horsey. ;)

handlingwise I think the new Cupra would kick the R's ass though (certainly std, and probably modded)

Yer I agree totally. Its a much better drive, and I have a lot more confidence in the car when giving it pasty. The feel in the Cupra R ws always a little remote, especially the back end.

The new Cupra chassis is very good, its seems to dig in and urges you to push on, and doesn't feel too vague. As i say, just gives a bit more confidence its doing what you want it to do, and its not about to bite you in the ass.

But I will always have a soft spot for the R too. King is dead long live the King :)

Has anyone done a sharp liftoff at >100mph in the Mk2 Cupra? that's always a tester in my LCR.

My Mk2 Cupra's built now, just hope it wasn't the first after the 4 week siesta. Should have it by end of month.

It would kind of want to kill you, lift off oversteer was always an interesting moment in an LCR  I have tried quite hard to push the back end out on the Mk2 just don't want to do it.

P.S. Revo all the way :worship:

Ah, I see.

I never encountered this problem in my LCR, obviously weren't trying hard enough lol.

Revo all the way eh. Just can't make my mind up lol. Probably going to put it off until next year anyhow (hopefully) although resistance is futile.

Mk1 Revo'd LCR 80K no problems, Mk2 Cupra Revo'd from 1K now on nearly 6K not missed a beat. :D do it you know you want to. ;)

LOL, Yeah, I know I want to, although I'm wanting to get used to it first being std, then when I'm bored of that, get it remapped, and it'll be like a new car all over again. Well that is my intentions.
