ok guy came today to fit my broken windscreen , and door windows , taught happy days , all fitted now fitted my new n75 (e valve) and then took it for a test drive wow , power is back no hesitating , then went over a bump and crack windceen cracked :( , not happy [:@]

How hard did you go over the 'bump' and how big was it?!

Surely you get a warrenty with the windscreen?

I'm sure you are NOT supposed to drive the car for 24hrs once a new screen has gone in.
Sad times.

had mine replaced last saturday, matie told me you cant drive the car for an hour after its been done because of the sealant/glue they use and not to wash your car for 24 hours

i work for autoglass for your screen to crack so easily by just hittin a bump/pothole you want to make sure the appiture is straight when the screen is fitted as this will put extra pressure on the sceen causing it to crack whilst hitting bumps/potholes

speak to the bloke who done your screen mate as it shouldnt crack at all unless he damaged the appiture when taking your screen out that the only possible reason for it to crack, even hitting a deep pothole at speed shouldnt damage the screen unless its under alot of presure

this happened to me twice......the first time i was on the way to work after leaving my car for 5 hours.....they replaced that one.....then the day it was going in for an mot they replaced the screen. they smashed that one when they put it in so luckily they slotted me in just before the mot.....i must say they were very nice about it and there was no messing about......they just came with a new windscreen and checked how it was cracked (no big chips or anything) and said yeah thats a duff screen. lol although i nearly slapped the bloke when he broke the second screen :p but was all sorted in the end. only charged me once as the rest was there fault.
