Head-unit & clock

Hi folks.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to set the clock to the correct time using a signal through the Alana head-unit?
Seems that Mk3's work this way with the head-unit they have, and I know for a fact my mates Vauxhall does it.
I'm pretty sure the Vauxhall uses RDS which the Alana seems to have.

Possibly a VagCom thing?

Not that I know of. It's not that hard to have a bit of a twiddle every now and then though is it?

That's a shame. I think it's nice to have the clock coordinated with the 8 o'clock pips on 'Wake up to Wogan'

But seriously this seems like a retrograde step for SEAT.
It works on the older models so why not on the Mk4's?

I'm guessing it's a cost thing, but who knows with Seat?
