Headlight bulb upgrade?

I have a TDI with just the single headlamps (not twins like you Cupra boys/girls).

What's the best option to upgrade my headlamp bulbs from the standard Tesco value candles I currently operate?

I have 100w H1s in my gti

Phillips Xtreem H4 are best out at the moment. Tested and proven

Will they fit my car though? I don't have the GTI lights, just bog standard ones?

I seem to remember seeing an advert for Halfords saying they are doing 2 for 1 on upgraded headlight bulbs at the mo. You can definitely get them for the 'ordinary' headlights as I've got some (no idea of make) in my early GTi which has just the single reflector. Not sure when the GTi got the twin bulb setup.

Anyway, just make sure you consult the bulb book at Halfords to get the right ones (I think they will be H4 but check). You car will have headlights and full beam in a single unit; the Cupra lights will have headlights and full beam in two separate bulbs.

TDI lights are H4. Id recommend the Phillips Blue Vision bulbs. Just changed both my sidelights and headlights and they are a real improvement!!

i dont see why u dont buy the h4 HID kit on ebay, m0rk payed like £40.

better than ur replacement bulbs 10 fold

H4's are twin element.... so the H4 version of the HID's that m0rk bought, are actually £44 + £24 p&p
