does anyone know if you have to take the dashboard out to replace the hater motor?
its a 1994 mk2 ibiza by the way
any help would be great! sean

I THINK that its fully accessable by removing the glovebox (5 screws) i had mine out and the heater motor was stareing me in the face, dunno if you need to get around it much to get it out but without the glovebox thers plenty of room

iv had a look and it seems to be in the centre of the dash. i think that the motors that worn its melted the dashboard slightly? just doesent look that accessable?

yours may be in a differnt place to mine mate but mines definitly behine the gloevbox on passangers side, dunno if they changed them about later on but seams unlikly to me mines a 1/2pre-1/2post-facelift 1.9d model but its not the sort of thing that manufactures change place on.

96 like i said its 1/2 pre facelift 1/2 post facelift, but VW aint the kind to change that sort of thing to a differnt place for no reason

mine is the same car mate 1994 1.6 i dont my heater blower it is deffo behind the glove box like G223 said 5 r so screws and you can see it. Its easy to do once you can see it.

had the glovebox out today! is it situated in the left corner? thats the only thing to me that looks like the motor? in a plastic housing? otherwise theres just ducting there!

it sits right infront of you with wires running into it, its the same colour as the ducting.

havent had it out of an ibiza mate, probably a handfull of screws or clips and the wireing plug
