Hi guys,

I keep getting - P16C100 fault code and I would like to replace the auxiliary water pump.

My question is, has anyone here replaced this pump? If yes, how difficult it was?

Check the pump under the Oil filter housing this code can also refer to that pump as well as the one behind the sump on the drivers side.

I common problem with the one under the oil filter is snapped wires they get brittle with the heat and mechanics sliding the oil filter bowl by them.

Exactly what happened to my sons 184TDi - snapped wires due to forcing the filter passed them.
You can get a repair part off ebay - it is a plug with appx 150mm of wires attached.

By using the full 150mm of wire on the end of the car loom - it allows you to move them completely out of the way of oil filter changes.
