What will i need 2 fit a R bumper to my FR??

Will i need all the new grills or can i use some of my current ones??

Also, will the fog lamps fit straight into the new bumper or are the R ones different?

Aswell as grilles, what else will i need to fit it?? (its getting fitted by a bodyshop but i need 2 give them all the stuff they need 2 fit it!)

you need to search first of all, there is a wealth of info on here

nothing you already have will fit.

you need new bumper guides, 3 lower grills, upper grill piece, center "s badged" grill piece, some arch liner extensions, and some small other bits and pieces. oh the bumper its self too. your looking at about £600 odd quid, probably a bit more

You must be barking mad, it doesnt even look that different, it will only be you that even notices it. Each to their own and all that but 1k on a slightly different bumper seems mad, why not spend it on a remap, or some new wheels?

i think your a bit confused....the bumper i have right now is NOT the R bumper which some FRs came with - it is the standard bumper which the facelift Cupras came with

mate, as you need to buy new grills etc.......you can sell your fully equiped bumper on ebay for around £200 (only cos thats around what i paid!)........that should soften the blow of the R bumper............tis expensive, but in my opinion.....looks the nuts......

i have a normal cupra bumper waiting for spraying........got it from ebay!
wouldnt buy a new bumper........expensive.
keep your eyes peeled!!
alternatively, try parts 24 7 on the net or other scrappers.
when i was looking for a cupra bumper, 2 places called me to say they had an R bumper.....

good luck with your search:)

I would imagine that it is rather flimsey! not very thick plastic....
Lots of flex?????
i looked a nice rear bumper for my tolly and got them to send additional photos...
after i saw it was basically single skin, thin plastic, i decided to stick OEM...

I would take the advice of COPRA especially as he has tried it...

being going with the idea myself of the r bumper, but could do other mods for the money, also seen what i though was a r and when it was ticking over was a diesel, chuckled a bit, was abit silly, dont really want a look alike, so bought a r splitter and added it to my fr, think it looks sweet too

why make it look like something it's not????
firstly, make it go like something it's not!!

first mods should be to suspension, then brakes.

then do exhaust/induction with cai, then RE-MAP

just my opinion :)

if you want to go ahead with it, you could always re-coup a bit of the cost by selling your cupra bumper to a non-facelift or tolly owner

Did they not do an FR in diesel?
and i though the last FRs to be made came with R fronts anyway, so it may have been a newish FR with the kit from the factory......

Depends how old you are and if you can afford the insurance of engine mods.....

cummon, we all know how bland the front of the standard Leon/Tolly's are, having a nice looking car (like the Leon FR/Cupra/R is) makes you have pride in your motor.

In addition, you dont have to race your car around the town. If it looks nice a slower pace gives peeps more chance to see you!
Unless you are Seat Educated you are only going to appreciate that its a mock up by finer details if it has a full kit on it, not everyone wants to rag around proving they have a full 225+ horses in thier engine bay........STEALTH is the key......just my opinion................:)
