i changed my ariel to a smaller one as i think they look better but it didnt work in the ariel base so i put the old one back on and managed to snap it leaving some thread in the base i can pick a new base up cheap enough but cant get the old one off the roof any ideas or is it just a case of yanking it off, i phoned a local sound system place thinking they would be able to wip it off for a few quid just to get it done they said £75 what a rip off surley its not that difficult lol. thanks

It's held on by a 32mm nut in the inside of the car you have to remove the trims on by the boot opening and pull the roof cover down slightly to get at it. Be careful as the roof cover creases easily.

lol it took me ages to work that out, just undo it and wobble/pull mine came out and didnt break anything. :D

I've unscrewed it until the end of the thread (so it will fold for car washes) and given i many all mighty tuggs but nothing  I've given up before i break the entire thing and cost my many pennies

A genuine one?
If not i bet the amplifier (if it as got one) isn't connected.

Aye, where the 22mm nut is, around there is about 8" of thin wire, and is a plug on the end, and nearby will be its "counterpart" join them, and...tada!! :)
