Hi there,

I've got an 02 (52) Ibiza 1.2 S, and want to check the back brakes but cannot undo the hub nut, and dont know what size socket it is.

Can Anyone Help?!?

Thanks, Dan:funk:

P.S Im new to site so be nice lol

Help should be at hand soon enough mate. Some very knowledgeable people on here.

or maybe not lol.

Your best bet is to go down to halfords and ask a member of staff to come see what size you will need from their stock.

I am sure the last time I saw this being done the drum was only held on by two phillips headed screws.

You don't normally have to remove the hub to do the brakes.

You dont undo the hub nut to remove the rear drums.

As Deano says the hub stays where it is.

It's Philips head screws dj mozibiza... Just take out the wheel and unscrew the screws. With a little fiddling or much fiddling rather say and some leverage you could take it out and get to the brake pads.. ;)
