Hi people I'm new to the Ibiza side of scn
I have a mate who has 1.4 1.6v Ibiza 3dr 03/53 plate 75bhp model

What I want to no is where is the standard air box? I fort it would be near the battery but no sign of it?

Can this model have a 57i k & n kit fitted to it?

And does anyone have any pictures?

Reply asap!!!!

i dunno if the 1.4 are the same as the 1.2's but mine is located at the back of my engine cover, i do think i herd somone say it was sperate tho :/ excuse my spelling i'm a retard.

yeah the engine cover is actually the airbox, its all built into one.
If you give the cover a good tug it will come off, its held in with push fit rubber things...
All will become clear then.

becareful there's a rubber tube located on the right side of the airbox/engine cover. i dont know what its called, something to do with the vacuum pressure or something. i suggest this comes off first before you give it a good yank!

Not much kits out there i'm afraid, K&N do a flattened cone with induction pipe, the other of interest is the BMC CDA induction kit. But looking at the fitting instructions it's designed for the older 1.4 as it routes the tubing to the other side of the engine where i find the air there is generally warmer in my engine.
