yes, you can have fault codes and not have a management light.

also the management light can flicker on and off really fast its possible you dont notice it. that will leave a fault code that vag com will pick up.

lol i have vag com and the OBD 2 cable but have no idea how tgo use it!!!!

its simple stuff, go into select controller or what ever it says, choose engine, then go to measuring blocks.

choose the blocks you want...you can log 3 at a time although depending on your sample rate its sometimes wise to log just one, to log maf is block 002 or 003 for example. for some other things like actual boost vs requested which helps identify leaks, the full version of the software is required.

click go or start, then as you click start log run the car in 4th gear for adequate load from low rpm to redline. then click stop. job done

to clear fault codes...you do the same as above but go into fault codes, it will then display what fault codes are apparent and you click " Clear fault codes" funnily enough

this is all well and good i my laptop recognises the lead is there but it does not recognise the car!!! when plugged in!!!
