help needed

i bought a cable and software off of the bay and also downloaded the software off of ross tech.

I installed the software off ross tech but not got any joy, there are 2 versions to install the 805 version and the 409 version and tried both.

I go into the options menu and select the usb port and press test, it comes up with port ok but interface not found on the 409 version and on the 805 version it says ross tech interface not found.

can anyone help, i've un installed both of them and wait till i know which one to install incase it is getting confused having both on the computer.

The eBay cables will not work with version 805 as they are not genuine Ross-Tech cables.

Your problem is well documented on this and other forums. Please do a search or call your eBay specialist for support.

other people on here have done the same as me, bought an ebay cable and used ur software for free, just thought i'd try the same

I didn't say you couldn't. I said, version 805 will not work with eBay wires.

Ergo, version 409 is your only choice and you should take the time to read all the stuff people have posted here as to how to get it to work with the cable you bought.
